Park Clean-up Field Trip

Welcome back!  I hope you all had a nice spring break.

We will be going on our field trip to Cloverdale Ball Park tomorrow to "Lend a Hand" in keeping our parks clean.  We will be leaving the school at 1:00 to walk to the park, and should be returning around 2:20.  Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to come along with us and help supervise.  We could use a couple more volunteers, so please let me know in a quick e-mail if you are able to join us on this trip, after all.  We will be outdoors the whole time and it will likely be raining.  Please make sure to send your children to school with a warm raincoat (with a hood) and boots to wear.  Thank you!

There will be show times at 1 pm and 7 pm.  For the 7 pm show, please drop your children off (in costume) at Mr. Walters' classroom at 6:30, as all grade four students will be gathering there for the evening show.  Thank you!

As is tradition at CCS, we will have our annual Pajama Day on Wednesday this week.  Students should come to school wearing pajamas, and may bring slippers to wear indoors, a favourite stuffed toy, and blanket.

Friday will be a half-day, with Mass in the morning and dismissal at 12:00.

If I do not speak to you before Friday dismissal, I hope you and your families have a joyous Christmas and a blessed start to the New Year.  See you in 2018!

Christmas Hamper Packing Field Trip - Tomorrow

We are still on tomorrow for the Christmas Hamper packing field trip.  If you noted on the permission form that you would be able to attend as a parent supervisor and walk to and from the Agriplex with us, we will be leaving at 10:15 and arriving back at school around 11:30.  Please be sure that your children come to school in uniform, as usual, and have appropriate outerwear for a cold weather walk.  Thank you!

Christmas Hamper Packing

A field trip permission form has been sent home for a walking trip to the Cloverdale Agriplex to pack Christmas Hampers.  These forms are due back by Friday, and the field trip will take place on Thursday, December 14th, between 10:15 and 11:30.  Please check the box at the bottom of the form if you are able to walk with us and help supervise.  It should be a great experience in giving of our time to help others during the holiday season.  Please see the permission form for further information.

In addition to packing hampers, each class at C.C.S will also be collecting hamper items.  Cards have been sent home with assigned items for each student to contribute.  All hamper items should be sent in to your child's classroom by December 15th.  Thank you!

Bazaar Jars

Precious Blood’s Annual Parish Bazaar
Saturday, November 25th
9 am to 2 pm

We are all very excited that our parish bazaar is coming up in less than two weeks!

One of the favorite games at the bazaar is the Jar Game.  All students are encouraged to fill a jar with candy, treats, stickers, toys, etc., decorate it and return it to school.   At the bazaar, the children will then be able to win these jars. The class that brings in the most jars will win a pizza party!!!

All jars will need to be dropped off in the classrooms by Friday, Nov. 24th.  Thank you!
